According to the Union Rural Development Ministry, Odisha Government should use the cold mix technic for construction of roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). In the said technology, waste plastic modified bitumen, cold mix, fly-ash etc are used. This process of construction of roads will be comparably cheaper than hot mix bituminous surface technology. Is this a better technology?

I have heard about this technique in the TV serial " Satyameba Jayate ". They told that this technique is very cheap and durable.
