For me, the best Hindi cinema is Mother India. It is a Hindi film epic that I consider very inspiring. It is a story of a poor village woman who survived against an evil money-lender. It is a melodrama but I didn't find it boring because it was something anyone could relate to. It also has a great touch of reality that's why I really liked it.

the old hindi cinemas were too good. i like the hindi cinemas made in the period 1970 to 1990. there were good stories & very good musics, lyrics etc. in today's film there is no story. the new technologies, violence and nasty scenes are used to only attract the young mass.
