It's a good start. But the 'community reporting' will make the site's image down. Anyone can blame anyone. You got the point?

In deed your fear is true and we are well aware of this fact and so we have an admin panel where we examine every community report we receive and and only when we are convinced we give it a go and publish the same.

In fact when we planned for the site we gave this feature because we wanted to give the people a chance to express their suppressed feelings and to show us the news that is usually hidden from the lime light.

Best wishes for your endevor. There must be a media-revolution in Orissa. The print media has lost its credibility.

Orissabarta" is the brain child of Mr.Manoj Kant Dash, who being a Journalist by profession for more than two decades’ created this e-News portal for the promotion of the land and language of Orissa.

With his single handed endeavour, he created this niche of being the person who published this news portal since August-2009.

The endeavour is not new. Many of his old projects in Print Media and productions for some Odia TV channels being watched by thousands of intellectuals from all over the globe, particularly his skills in developing creative stories, instant news matter as well political events. His remarkable skill of learning and using new technology to develop quality News, Cultural activity giving importance to Tourism of Odisha .Some of his achievements are;

Mr. Dash has remarkable achievements in his long carrier in Media. In the year 1995 he started Print media (Monthly News Magazine) as the head, after obtaining all the permissions as per rules and regulation of Government of India (RNI). To his credit he has the following contributions which were widely acknowledged at International level.

1. For ETV-(Oriya) “Sakala Tirtha To Charane” with local talents
2. Gopalpur Beach Festival during the year 2005-06 in association with Ganjam Distrct Administration which was telecasted with E-TV(Oriya)Live

3. Event manager for Biswaroop Roy Choudhury, The memory Master who finally was recognized by Gunnies Book Of World Records).
4. Worked as Administrator of Presidency College for two years (the first Collage of Orissa for Management courses).
5. Founder President of Berhampur Information & Technology Association (BITA)
6. South Orissa Co oridinator of Information Technology Association of Orissa(ITAO)

He wants to build an online community where he can make all the Odia people a member and allow everyone to interact with everyone for free and help each other in developing the state to a new height.Orissabarta door is open to all to extend their co-operation.

Apart from Orissabarta, Mr.Manoj Kant Dash has been associated with some other social activities too. He has done some commendable job especially for the interest of Odia people.

Dear Friends

I May be excused for not being able to come up and inform you all that AAHWAAN INFOTECH ODISHA and Me (Dr Jyoti Prasad Pattnaik) is no more associated with the ORISSABARTA.COM website. As it always happens growth of one site requires new dimensions and new endeavours, may be my endeavour was not enough a reason for developiing the site into a ultra modern site and so I let it go from my kitty.

I though regret for being unable to do justice to a site which I created with utmost care and nurtured it selflessly for more than six months, but all I got was a non-happening website, which was lacking in many directions and the main being lack of good news articles and readers.

I hope with the newly developed DEVSUBH media the site sees a new sun and progresses in a new direction.

Although being a medical professional I never practised web development as my other profession but I was determined to do something good for the society at large and pubilcation of AAHWAAN was my first step towards paying back my debts to this great land of ODISHA.

I have already endeavoured into publishing the first online e-News portal in ODIA which is a completely self promoted and non-commercial base website giving good feedbacks and articles from Odisha. Please visit the all ODIA e-News Portal at http://odishanews.tk
