The construction work of IIT Bhubaneswar has strated by the chief minister orissa.
Orissa’s Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik started the construction work of IIT Bhubaneswar at Arugul by doing Bhumi Puja in the last month. This will be the permanent campus of IIT Bhubaneswar.

The orissa government has allotted 936 acres of land at Arugul (near Jatni) for developing the new IIT . The Government also has started construction of 4 lane access road to IIT Campus from the National Highway 5. The work on electric & water supply to the campus is also in progress.
