Programs of the Odisha govt. for the care of mother & child

Odisha govt. has made different valuable programes for care of the mothers and their infants. One of them is Mamata yojana .
The main aim of the program is to reduce the maternal & infant mortality by improving health and nutritional status of pregnant mothers and their infants. Each pregnant woman above 19 years of age will be taken under the scheme for first 2 live births. The Central and Sate Govt. and PSU employees can not be includeed under this scheme. The eligible pregnant women will be provided financial assistance of Rs. 5000/- in four separate installments for having nutritional food and care. The money will be transferred to the bank account of the mother directly if she has registered her pregnancy in Anganwadi, taken health check up, got herself immunized, registered the name of the new born child, also if she is immunizing the child regularly, breast feeding the child, taking regular weighing of the child, mother attending the counseling centers at AWC in village health and nutrition day etc.
