The international odia sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik, participated in the World Sand Sculpture Championship -2013 in Moscow, won the Moscow Choice prize by creating a sand sculpture of Lord Ganesh, the dispeller of obstacles and the symbol of world peace.
It was announced by the authorities of Kolomenskoe Museum Reserve in Moscow on Sunday evening where the championship was held. The competition started from April 22 to 28. He carved around 12ft high sculpture in the championship. The theme of the competition was “Secret of the World”. There are 10 countries participated in this competition and Sudarsan was the solo representative from India.
