Website to see the final list of students to get the free laptops.

The list of 15,235 meritorious students who will receive free laptops on Aug 15, are declared by Odisha govt. The state government will launch this scheme at BJB College in Bhubaneswar
It may be noted that during launch of the State Youth Policy, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had said to distribute the free laptops.

Naveen Pattnaik started the distribution programme of laptops

The state government has decided to distribute free laptops to students on 15th August but he started the distribution programme of laptops from 7th August. Yesterday he distributed laptops to twenty +2 meritorious students. The higher education dept is preparing the list of 15,235 qualified Plus two(2012-13) students of Odisha.

2,500 students from Khurda district, 1,789 from Cuttack, 1,470 from Ganjam, 1,224 from Balasore, 41 from Gajapati and 55 from Malkangiri district etc. Only 12 students from Deogarh(least number) will get the free laptops.

Distribution of free laptops to rest of selected meritorious +2 passed students will begin very soon. In a programme organized jointly by the higher education and IT department at Jaydev Bhawan, chief minister handed over laptops to 20 Plus II students. Last week the higher education dept has ordered the nodal officers in 30 districts to distribute free laptops to the meritorious pass out +2 students. Under Biju Yuva
Sashaktikaran Yojana, total 15,235 students will be given free laptops from which 10, 147 numbers of general category students, 3057 and 2031 students belonging to SC and ST.
