Today, due to heavy rainfall( about 350 mm) In just 7-8 hours, Samabalpur town became flooded and many low lying areas of the city got submerged. The Odisha government has opened 12 relief centres for the victims.In this flood more than 5,000 people are affected.

This year, the flood in Sambalpur is very severe. The govt. should be careful for this type of situation.
