Odisha sprinter Dutee Chand got qualified for Rio Olympics 2016 by covering 100m in 11.30 second. She is the current national champion in women's 100 metres event.

Odia sprinter Srabani Nanda also qualifies for Rio Olympics. Srabani qualifies for Olympics by covering 200m in 23.07 seconds.
