The whole incident happened only due to the negligence of railway staff. It is very traumatic. In this accident 20 people killed and 90 got injured.
The railway staff carried out the unscheduled repair. Some fish plates and nuts/bolts at the track joints had not been fixed and the gap widened after passing of five coaches.( Fish plates are metal or wooden strips that hold the rails together.) This caused the derailment of train.
