The Odisha government has just completed collection of primary data about Kandhamal turmeric that it is famous for being organically grown without use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides and has a demand in India. It will apply for GI tag at the GI Registry office in January, 2018. The Odisha Rasagola has been given to Lord Jagannatha as offering prayers and it is a part of the state's centuries-old ritual.
