Are you saying Orissa should say NO to foregn investment and industrialisation? That's the only way to develop orissa which is rich in minerals.
Govt is doing nothing to improve Information Technology (IT) infrastructure in orissa. So the only way to grow is with these type of industrialisation.

Dear Brother ,
This question " Is POSCO is good" seems to be contradictory.
Look every company has their own agenda to increase thier Bottom line at any cost.
Its the duty of the concerned govt. to formulate and regulate law to govern them properly .

1st Our poltician are very greedy in this matter,
weather its seatig MLA of ruleing party or either oppsitiong party all of them are focus how to encash the situation
rather try to sort out the problem. Now the congress people and other oppsition party r playing with this issue to encash the situation.

Later when they ll from the govt. ..........that time they ll support POSCO and that time whom so ever the opposition party ll oppose POSCO.

This will be the natural phenomenon of our state ..........thats why we always become poor...........state.

Hi Tapas,

I agree with your view. Its not about the company ,because its first priority is the bottom line, but its the govt. which should make a proper cost-benefit analysis before taking any decision rather than being pre-occupied by their 'vested interests' which is the case in reality.

Personally speaking, its high time we open up to such opportunities.Orissa is a very favourable location (due to its natural resources & cheap labour) for many companies. So, I believe its a golden opportunity for the people.

Again about the darker side of it, of course there is no free launch, some cost has to be paid and at this stage I think the long term benefit which will come, is way ahead of the cost that has to be paid for it.
