Obviously, it is a good news. The state govt has not yet decided about the place to where open it.

Centre has finalised three sites for the IIM,Bhubaneswar near to Bhubaneswar. They are behind the IIT campus at Gothapatna, near IIT campus at Argul and a place between Bhubaneswar and Jatni. These places have good roads, rail and air connectivity. At last IIM will be set up at BBSR.

What is the final desicion of centre about the set up of new IIM in Odisha? Why are there so much difficulties coming in the way of new IIM?

Centre has given preference to Basantapur in Burla for permanent campus of IIM Odisha. The Silicon Institute or Sambalpur University Institute of IT (SUIIT) may be used for the temporary campus of IIM.
