Be careful, Dengue fever is spreading in Odisha.
Twenty patients test positive for dengue in S C B medical college and hospital. At least 58 suspected cases were reported here at SCB, twenty of them tested positive and fifteen people are from Cuttack city.
The microbiology department of the Hospital has tested minimum three hundred eight blood samples of suspects in this month, fifty five samples have tested positive for dengue. The dengue ward of the Hospital has thirty beds and now has twenty one patients. The people should be conscious about this disease.

Health department will provide free of cost ICU treatment to dengue patients

As many as 113 patients tested positive to dengue in the districts of Angul, Cuttack, Ganjam, Khurda, Jajpur and Dhenkanal. The highest number of 73 patients are from Cuttack, 13 from Khurda district, 10 from Angul, 8 from Ganjam and 8 from Dhenkanal and 4 from Jajpur.
The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that the health department will provide free of cost ICU treatment to dengue patients. The CM reviewed the dengue situation in the state and gave this instruction to all the district collectors.

State wide awareness campaign on Malaria, Dengue & Diarrhoea

In view of spreading of diseases Malaria, Dengue & Diarrhoea in the state during the monsoons, a state wide awareness campaign is launched from today, the 1st August.
The activities of the campaign will include Orientation to all PRI members, ASHA, AWW, ANM, GKS members and all Health & all other directorates at district, block & village level, Launching of the campaign simultaneously at State & District. An IEC van named as Nidhi Rath in this fifteen days campaign will create an awareness on environmental sanitation among target groups on prevention and control of malaria, dengue and diarrhea in our state.

In Odisha, 523 people are affected in Dengue.

In Odisha, 523 people are affected in Dengue. This year, 523 people are affected in Dengue in Odisha. There is no case of death in this disease. three hundred and twenty nine people are affected in the district of Cuttack. Odisha government has set up special dengue wards to treat the patients. There is one at Capital
Hospital, BBSR and another is at SCB, Cuttack.
