Padma Shri Sudarsan Pattnaik'll be the new TB Ambassador. It is announced by REACH( a non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against TB) and State TB Cell. TB, a disease due to which 1300 deaths occurs in India per day. As a first step, he created a mesmerizing sand sculpture at Puri to raise awareness about it. Shri Pattnaik will help to raise the profile of TB at both the state and national levels, and will make TB more visible in the public domain. The TB Cell to Action Project is being implemented with support from USAID in Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Bihar and Rajasthan.
