I'll write new odia recipes very soon.
today i'm giving a tasty recipee on the occasion of christmas.
though it is a great occasion for our christian brothers and sisters,
we(hindu oriyas) also enjoy the christmas holiday and new year.
so ,this tasty recipe is for all.
Pudding
----------
-------------------------------------
Ingredients:

2 cups flour (maida)

1 cup sugar

1 tsp cinnamon powder

2 eggs

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup mincemeat pie filling (meat, apples, raisins, vinegar, pineapple, orange, salt, cloves, nutmeg, sugar )
1/2 cup pumpkin (puree)
2 cups cream
A packet of cream cheese
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

Method:

1.Grease a thin layer of butter on pudding mold base.

2.In a bowl, thoroughly mix beaten eggs, butter, mincemeat filling and pumpkin puree. Add the egg mixture into the flour mixture and blend until smooth.

3.Pour the mixture into pudding mold.

4.Place a rack in the bottom of a cooker, over medium heat, and fill 1/2 way up with boiling water. Place the pudding on the rack. Steam for 2 1/2 hours.

5.Keep adding water to the cooker if necessary. When firm, place the pudding mold on a rack outside of the water for 10 minutes and then carefully remove the mold.

6.Prepare a sauce by blending together the cream, cheese and confectioners sugar. Spread the sauce over warm pudding and serve. Tasty Christmas Pudding recipe is ready to serve.
