The Odisha government has set new guidelines to increase security measures in schools across the State. After the incident of Ryan International School in Gurgaon our state govt has taken these security measures. As per fresh guidelines,
1 - School authorities have been instructed to ensure that junior children should be not allowed to go to washrooms without the supervision of caretakers and other responsible persons. Schools have been asked to have separate toilets for students and teachers.
2 - CCTV cameras will be installed at prominent areas within the school while the administrative staffs have been instructed to keep a strict vigil on sensitive areas including dining areas, washrooms and other places.
3 - The school transport vehicles should also install CCTV and GPRS devices for real time tracking. Women attendants should also be deployed in school vehicles engaged for transportation of children.
4 - The entry of outsiders in school premises has been restricted while identity proof made mandatory for those seeking entry into school for any work.
5 - School authorities have also been asked to conduct police verification of the drivers, conductors and other staff appointed on contractual basis by the school.
6 - To complete the psychometric evaluation of engaged teachers, non-teaching employees, sweepers, bus drivers and conductors within two months.

Are all schools obeying the new security rules now? The govt should look into this matter seriously.
