The best-performing students in the matric exam 2018-19 will be awarded by state govt of Odisha.
Our state government is trying to improve the odia medium education system. The govt has declared award for best-performing students in the matric exam 2018-19. Ten students from the block level, ten from the five municipal corporations, five from the 46 municipalities and two from every NAC will receive Rs 5,000 each. Around Rs. 1.57 crore has been sanctioned for the scheme and Rs. 15 crore has been sanctioned for 2018-19 to improve the quality of education.The students and teachers of schools of 3 blocks, two Schools from 5 municipal corporations and one school each from 46 municipalities and all the NACs, who have fared well in the matric examination can get Rs. 1,00,000.The parents of the students will also be felicitated.

I'm sure, most of the prizes for the best performing students of matric exam, that announced by the state govt will go to the Saraswati sishu mandira and other odia medium private schools, not to the odia medium govt high schools. The quality of education in Odia medium govt. schools should be improved. The govt should abolish the quota system in teacher recruitment( also in all types of job recruitment). If the best eligible candidates can get the job, then the standard of education can be improved.
