No Top twenty(20)list in CHSE,Odisha from 2013. The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has decided to do away with the top 20 merit list of students from this year. The Council’s executive committee has recommended the Higher Education department to scrap the merit list which it strongly believes not ‘worth publishing’. The students placed in the toppers’ list hardly get any benefit during in the next level of studies. To market themselves as the best educational institute and attract more students, the residential colleges try to go to any extent for a place in the list. This very often instigates them to resort to unfair means like buying of question papers, influence evaluation and manipulate tabulation to ensure their students secure good marks.

It is a good decision. The top twenty list of +2 cauncil exam is not so much necessary. It creates so much competetion among students and colleges. It is valueless for lacs of students.
