Sum Hospital is one private....also HiTech and KIIT Medical colleges are only 3 private ones here...and 3 govt. ones are Burla, SCB Cuttack, another in Ganjam i forgot d name.......so 6 medical colleges....

Private ones have good infra but all r new........but are AICTE approved...SUM Hospital of ITER and the medical college of KIIT are under own universities....(KIIT University and SOA University -ITER-SUM Hospital)

Govt. colleges are not so good b'coz u have to sign a bond to do job for some specific time here in orissa...for govt....i'm not sure

So i recommend u not to read medical in orissa.

KIIT in Bhubaneswar and NIST in Berhampur are two best engineering colleges in Odisha and If you can clear the Joint Entrance Exams(engineering) in Odisha, you can get into either of the two, else you may opt for management quota which will attract something between 8-12 Lakhs or more in both colleges. You need to contact the colleges in the earliest before the admission season so that they can fix a seat for you.

Even if you do not get qualified in JEE, still you have an option of getting admission since all the private engineering colleges run a second JEE to qualify their Management students. So do not panic. Join in and do your degree here in Odisha.

Why I opt for Odisha is not only for the excellent studying opportunities and or campus recruitment records but also for the sheer easiness of being home while reading your professional degree and also because I feel it is quite economical to the students too. Remember after paying a hefty fee as donation spending thousands every month is a headache for anyone.

So Go and search more about the colleges on their website http://www.NIST.edu and http://kiit.ac.in

CV raman college has good results in recent days. many of it's students have got placement in Infosys Bangalore. Join there is you are not getting govt colleges and then u can choose OEC or KIIT too.
