i m probably one of the very few or may be the only non oriya to be a part of the forum, i m an indian administrative service officer of the orissa cadre and that really would answer as to why i m in this forum. my future is closely linked to that of this state and the devlopment of this state is something for which i m paid. even otherwise this is somehting i m deeply intereted in.i would be interested in all topics related to the development of orissa, particularly that related to the present industrial development. there r million shades of opinion in this matter, mostly divergent from the government view. i personally feel the oriya society, particularly the intelligensia, the elite should not only discuss these issues but also mobilze the public opinion, thereby directing government policies in the direction which will lead to orissa's development in the true sense. it is time we devote all our energies to this end, since i feel we oriyas r at a very crucial stage of our economic history, where we can make or break orissa. there will always be time for chatting, glorifying our rich culture or talking about our cuisine. but as of now the state demands ur attention.
