The news of Jagada Nanda Panda , an honest senior IAS officer who was Protector General of Overseas Indian, Ministry of Overseas Inidan Affairs, taking the insane extreme step of killing all his family members and himself was indeed shattering!

Jagada Nanda Panda was my classmate in Delhi University. We had been in constant contact with his simple and sweet family .We have known him as one of those rare breed of extremely humble and honest officer IAS Officers, with a very modest living. All those who have known him or worked with him would vouch. it is inconceivable that he could be involved in any corruption or scandal. He was a very sensitive person. It is surely a case where he was shamed to insanity by the scandal in which he found himself, an unwitting victim. He must have decided there was no point in living in humiliation, having lost the reputation he had staked everything to build over 20 years of sacrifice and service. If the CBI had to find anything, it may have been more worthwhile perhaps to raid the concerned Minister’s and his cohorts’ house, than an honest officer. This is surely a case of a Bureaucrat dying under Ministerial responsibility and a Minister thriving under Bureaucratic responsibility” ! Honesty and integrity is surely on way to extinction.It is a sad chapter in the ever growing malady of corruption in Indian politics.

Can you get something any discusson from there relative. More ever about his charachter. I respect this IAS officer, really there genious if they used there knowledge properly. News and online media should come forward to support this cause. Corrupt officials, ministers much be blamed publicly. The Ruchika case is just an example of what media pressure can do. Come on sleeping media. It's time for Odia newspapers to come out of dirty politics news and do something credible.
