Is it possible without industrilization orissa will stand with other growing economy states of india !

Are you asking about the industrialisation like POSCO, VEDANTA etc? Yes, they are necessary. But there is lot of scope in IT industry in bhubaneswar. Unfortunately noone is interested in letting IT grow in orissa.

Mr.Mishra you are absolute correct .But what i would like to convey is "besically we have huge mining deposits "........its important that our state should capitalize the mining resource what we have. Hence to boost the state economy we should encouage MNC and other private player to praticipate in the state economy by opening our resources.
It ll give mass employement opporunity to our unemployed people.

No doubt every issue has some advantage and disadvantage.

Further what you have saggest the scope of IT sector in bhubenswar is also right.Because we have a vast nos of skilled and semiskilled professional.

I read it somewhere that its JB Patnaik, CM, who should be considered responsible for the backwardness of Orissa in IT field. During his govt, many IT firms approached the state gvt and had asked for land and infrastructure. Mr Patnaik's qn was "what is this industry you are talking about, where no smoke will comeout!!! no no we can't give facilities for such risky business."

Regarding capitalizing from our minerals, Don't you think SOME development is beter than NO development?
Let the foreign company profit. Orissa will also gain a lot interms of image and infrastructure.
