How mid-day meals have spoiled our education system

Everyone knows this fact that after the government started midday meal system, the education in primary and ME schools have deteriorated like anything. Inmany of these schools there are 1-2 teachers at max. And all of them get busy with the midday meal. Nobody cares for education. Some kids come around lunch time. have food and go. Now, if you look at statistics, educated parents are sending their kids to schools where there is no such drama called "Midday Meals". Government primary schools have become a free lunch center only.

It is slow very much slow process. Again Teacher will be main role on it.
If You see in develope country how the teacher is trying hard to motivate the student.
As we learn Next to mother Teacher has main role to take care the children as to become a good student.
But I know some of teacher they are doing hard,
some of them are have personal problem of rural area.
And some teacher they are enjoying the Item in their house or selling them.

These are the problem, who will solve....that is the question. Honerable Chief Minister can not do alone.

Or else it should take by very good NGO. But I found in orissa NGO is now nice business.

Main thing is how to change mentality ?

I think mid-day meal program should be stopped. It is spoiling school education in Orissa.
Naveen Patnaik is a highly educated person. He should understand this.

Then how you will motivate the tribal children for study ? There is no such teacher, that they will try to motivate to study. Its very few teachers are there.
Because of education is not more than 70 %, that is the root cause of orissa. What is your Idea, If stop then what shoud do ?
