Justice Ranganath Mishra passed away.
He was the 21st chief justice of Supreme court. After retirement in 1991, he became the first chairman of the National Human Rights Commission . In 1998 Justice Mishra was nominated to Rajya Sabha. In 2004, he became the head of National Commission for Religious and Linguistic Minorities.
