Unfortunate Orissa, Vedanta moving to other state, Wake up

Dear Friends !
It is very sad due to difference of political situation with centre, Vedanta is pulling by other state. Because they are same politics group as in center. It is some thing follish discision. It just In family make some body a King other one will be begger. Center Polytician should think about all together India not there polytics zone only. Our oriya Congress polytician are better to have "HATARE CHUDI PINDHANTU, HOPE LESS".

In that case we public has some responsible, to stop this offence for Orissa. If Yes vedanta is good, please put your reply to our politician and make there hand to more strong. Here is one of the Oriya proffessor for USA trying is best. Please atlest put some reply. .............. Orissa need to become best state in India.

Note that Sambada publisher is Soumyaranjan Patnaik who is a Congress leader. If Sambada shows concern on this then it means more and more people in Odisha are now realizing the value of Vedanta University. Alas, it may be too little too late. But we should not lose hope.


We need to take urgent action. The CM is going to Delhi to meet the PM about POSCO and Vedanta industries. We need to write to the CM to talk to the PM also on Vedanta University. Following is a short letter.

1. Please consider sending a version (make changes to your liking) of it by email.

Dear Esteemed Chief Minister:


I read in Sambada newspaper (attached) that Vedanta University is contemplating to move from Odisha to Andhra Pradesh or Karnataka. The report says that Andhra Pradesh has offered adequate land near Hyderabad for this $3 Billion (Rs 15,000 crores) university.


I also read in the paper that you are going to Delhi to discuss with the PM about POSCO and Vedanta's operations in Kalahandi. But there is no mention regarding any concern from you about Vedanta University.


It is unfortunate that while you are eager to pursue the PM regarding POSCO and Vedanta mining, you have not yet planned to discuss Vedanta University with the Prime Minister.


It seems that the last action that caused Vedanta University Project to almost stop its work in Odisha was the order from the environment ministry.


Please seek the Prime Minister's help in this. It does not make sense for the environment ministry to stop a university, especially considering that:


(a) India is desperate to have world class universities and Vedanta University with its $3 Billion budget and vision is perhaps the best hope for India in that direction. Please see details at http://petitions.orissalinks.com/?p=5 .


(b) Universities world over are the best protector of the environment. One just needs to see the campus of IIT Madras, IISc Bangalore, NCL Pune, etc. to get the idea. In fact many places which were barren (like NCL Pune) became lush after an educational/research institution were established there. Please see http://www.ncl-india.org/aboutncl/flora ... reface.jsp. Perhaps recognizing this aspect of universities and educational institutions IIT Madras was carved out of Guindy national park. Please see http://hsb.iitm.ac.in/~prakriti/ .


Under the above circumstances please seek help of the PM to remove hurdles from the construction of Vedanta University, which was just about to build a 1000 bed multi-speciality hospital and medical college.

The congress government is at the root of all this. Just because they do not have power in Orissa, they wanted to deprive it of any developments. To hell with congress and all politicians that are playing with orissa's fate.
