108 Ambulance workers are continuing strike from 2 days. The common people with their patients, who need emergency health service are suffering.
Ambulance service in 14 districts was severely affected as drivers and paramedical staff of the 108 service launched an indefinite strike on Thursday demanding pay hike, timely payment of their salary security and extra payment for overtime. Now the driver of 108 ambulance is getting Rs 4,200/ per month, technician is drawing Rs 3,900/ per month while a pharmacist is getting Rs 4,400/ monthly.
